Hi, I’m Andrea Lucas, Managing Director of Club-Asteria. Club-Asteria is an online global that provides education, business opportunities, e-commerce and to empower our members.  Please visit our site at www.club-asteria.com to learn about our programs and services and our goals for the future and read about our philanthropic activities in the News.

I have now started the series of blogs so I can share my views and experiences with all of my family and friends and the extended community of people that are interested in .

Everything in my life that I have lived through – both good and bad, has brought me to this moment in time.  I now have the ability to contribute to some of society’s most critical and pressing issues – the plight of hundreds of millions of people that still live in poverty despite the advances in our social network and technology.  Human beings just like you and I who don’t enjoy the simple advantages of clean drinking water, reliable electricity, adequate shelter, the simplest of health care, food and education.

As I have traveled the world in my position in the financial community I have experienced first- hand this injustice and tragedy of humanity.  My life today is dedicated to not only sharing the plight of these undeserved people of the world but more importantly to serve as a catalyst of change to truly benefit their individual lives.  I hope that you will enjoy reading about my many experiences and the people I meet and can lend support to.

My blogs will touch on a variety of subjects, from e-commerce to financial support to to most importantly, education that can benefit each of the individuals and families that we are seeking to help.

If you haven’t visited the website in awhile, I suggest you check it out!

We recently did a redesign to the site based on our member feedback – and also because it’s always good to change things up a bit. You’ll notice that the navigation has been improved, and our drop down menus are easier to navigate.

In addition, we have made areas that are popular with members easier to access, and the new organization makes it easier to find exactly what you need to succeed in your business!

The change to the website required a great deal of effort from everyone involved, along with some late nights. In the end, we were very pleased with our efforts, and judging on the feedback we’ve received, that hard work is paying off.

Changing things in your business – or even in your daily routine – requires a lot of work and effort, but change can be very good.

First, changing how your conduct business allows you to take a different look at what’s going on. You may even identify some routines and processes that could be improved. The result is a faster, smarter business that achieves milestones and produces profits.

Another place to change is your product mix, evaluate the sales of your inventory and look to bring in fresh items that attract customer attention. Remember to pair traditional sellers with new products, so one helps the other.

Change can be a scary proposition, but there are plenty of places in the family of websites where you can read about other members’ experiences with change:

  • *  Our forum page
  • *  The Facebook page
  • *  Asteria Connect
  • *  Empower Now

There’s no rule that states the changes you make must entail gigantic steps away from your normal operating procedures – instead look to make smaller changes that improve a part of your business.

Wrapping up, a key point to remember is that change requires time, and waiting for something to change requires patience. Map out your changes, and then set an expected time period – this way you won’t be discouraged if things don’t immediately work out.

When we founded , our goal was to help the people of the world escape the chains of poverty by providing resources and information designed to help anyone start a business.

Another goal we had was to use the proceeds from our members’ fees and other income streams to help the less fortunate cultures and people of the world.

Since our inception, we’ve gone a long way in achieving those goals, but because the need is never ending, our work is also never quite completed. That’s why we’re thankful for our members.

members have proven to be the most generous and committed partners we’ve found since our mission began. Help has poured in from almost every corner of the world.

There several different areas of philanthropy that has been pursuing, such as our successful microloan program and our partnering with programs with missions and end goals similar to our own.

The microloan program has enabled men and women from around the world to start their own businesses, where before they would have not been able to secure the small loans necessary.

In addition to the microloan programs, we’ve also successfully created micro credit and micro finance programs. These two areas are slightly different from the micro loan mission, but the end result is the same: give people the chance to be successful.

Donations from have also helped make the world a better place, and two of those places are Kenya and Somalia. Both geographical areas have been hit hard by drought, famine and strife in the form of armed conflict.

In the course of a year, we have donated funds used to build a machine that drills deep water wells. Fresh water might not seem like a big deal to those who live in cities or developed countries, but the communities in Kenya and Somalia have seen a drastic increase in the quality of life, thanks to the generosity of ’s members!

The scope of our donations has definitely become broader and by partnering with other organizations we have been able to help children across the world receive the education and medical attention they need to live healthy, productive lives.

The vision and mission of continues to be fulfilled through the dedication and generosity of our members. For more information, you can check out this month’s edition of Empower Now or visiting the website.

Like Ghandi said so famously, “Be the change you want to see in the world.”

When you wake up in the morning, do you look forward to what the day holds or do you wish you could roll over and go back to sleep?

The answer to this question doesn’t have to be the latter, if you have the right attitude and mindset. Regardless of what you have planned for the day, it’s vital to remember that simply being alive and experiencing the world is quite and experience.

However, you need to have a clearer idea of what your goals are, and how you’re going to reach them. So the first step is to write down what you want to accomplish – this can be for a day, a week, a month or even a lifetime.

You see, when you have goals in your head, they’re not in any kind of reality. Your thoughts replace them with the multiple challenges that every day brings, and it’s easy to forget what you want to achieve.

Write down your goals and then start working towards them. Remember that the steps you are taking may seem minor – such as opening up a bank account – but each of these steps adds up to the entire journey!

As you follow each goal to its completion, remember that keeping a positive mindset is what makes entrepreneurs and business people successful. It’s not as easy as it sounds because it’s easy to get down when things are going the right way.

You can change the direction of your thinking by considering other alternatives. For example, you may be working on a lengthy presentation that you hope will help you land a great customer. After all of the time and work, you might not get that signed contract.

You have two choices: feel bad that all of your work didn’t achieve the results or realize that the work you did taught you new skills and challenged your ability to think. Sure, the contract might not have been signed, but next time you’ll be even more prepared.

What we’re saying is that if you view your life and work in a positive light, it’s easier to deal with some of the unfortunate events.

Of course, no one wants to always be on the losing end, but when it happens a positive mindset allows us to take in what happened, analyze it, and then move on to the next opportunity.

When you have goals set for a certain period of time, you feel more productive because you’re working on several different projects in succession. This action builds your momentum, and makes the setbacks easier to handle – especially when there’s another opportunity waiting on the horizon.

Remember there are plenty of resources and tools that Club Asteria has made available, and they’re great to visit when you need inspiration. In addition to our website, there’s also our Facebook page and Twitter feed. If you want to see what other members are doing, stop by Asteria Connect and join in the conversation.

Stay positive and keep on working towards your goals, we’re here for you!

You’ve probably heard me talk about the new member websites and how they’re one of the best resources available to our members.

Hopefully you’ve already signed up for your site, but if you haven’t, here’s the information one more time:

*  Learn about your member website here: https://members.club-asteria.com/. Remember that your login and password are the same ones as for your back office at the Site.

*  We’ve created a short, insightful and informative instructional video, which walks you through setting up your site. Click this link to view it.

*  A PDF of instructions is also available at this link.

Now that you have this information, it’s a really good time to get your site registered so that you can begin to use this tool the right way. Remember, “Use the right tool for the right job.”

As a marketing tool, your own website might be one of the most powerful available! The challenge is to use it the right way, but how do you achieve that?

First, remember that whatever you post on the site is going to be seen by your potential clients, so you want the contents to be error free and also informative. Keeping your audience informed makes it easier for them to purchase.

In the Age of the Internet, information has become expected from vendors and companies that range from gigantic to a one-person operation. Remember to be quick, be informative and be persuasive!

Use the right graphics and photos on your site. They should be in good taste and also memorable – you want your clients to stick around, and when they’re exploring your site, it’s helping your sales.

Remember that the Internet is growing rapidly, there are literally billions of websites out there, so make sure to include a link to your site in all of your marketing and sales collateral. Include the link in the signature of your email, on your social media pages, and on your business cards.

Feedback from visitors will help you sharpen the aim of your website, so ask for the information! You can send out quick surveys to customers – you may want to offer a discount on their next purchase for completing the survey. Use this information wisely when you’re deciding which products to spotlight.

A member website is a powerful marketing and sales tool, and it should be updated on a weekly basis. Integrating this site with your other marketing efforts will enable you to earn more income and help the overall mission of .

is based on sharing what we have with others in the world. The end goal is to give people who are suffering under the weight of poverty the opportunity to build a business that helps them, their families and their communities.

We began with the idea of giving back to the world, and in turn, receiving the support and help from members located in almost every part of the world. So far, we’ve been able to help out thousands of people.

So how have you helped out those around you? That’s a tough question to ask because in today’s world, where the economy and international markets seem to be full of negative news, we’re all trying to hold onto what we have.

But you can give in other ways that do not involve donating money. In fact, while donating funds to a cause helps many people, giving other valuable items makes a big difference too.

Consider your time – that’s valuable, right?

Think about how valuable that time is to a local organization that’s non-profit and depends on volunteers to help. If you looked at your schedule, there’s probably three or four hours a week where you could volunteer. That time you give could help a great many people.

You also have experience that could be invaluable. There are many people in the world who want to achieve great things, and have humble goals like starting their own business, just like you have.

Loaning your experience by teaching a volunteer class, or speaking at local business seminars might give a person the insight and inspiration he or she needs, but never came in contact with.

There are also plenty of tutoring and mentoring programs in your community that need your help. Sitting down with a young person and helping him or her decide what they want to study could impact more than that person – it affects all of the people they go on to help!

When you give of your time, intelligence and knowledge, you’re providing resources that aren’t as available as money.

Think about that.

Sure, donating funds provides an almost instant answer to a problem, but once that money is spent, the effect might not last as long as sitting down and educating a person with your experience!

Take a look at your schedule for next week and then find three hours of free time. Search for a community group that needs your help, and then go out and give. What you’ll receive is far more valuable than any sale you could make!

The goal of is to help our members find by taking advantage of the many resources, products and services that we make available at affordable prices.

We realize that running a small business in these trying economic times can be challenging – the competition is fierce and many people are keeping a tighter hold on their money than ever before!

Hard work has always been one of our mottos at , but there are other aspects to the entire picture that we have to recognize, in order for that hard work to pay off in the end.

Here are some ideas to keep in mind when you’re working towards a goal.

Look Back, Look Forward

This might sound like common sense, but many people don’t realize that to see how far they’ve gone, they need to look back. Every day, you’ve made an accomplishment that’s propelled you forward – no matter how small or insignificant it seems, what you’ve done has set you up for where you’re going!

Don’t Be Scared to Dare

Business leaders will tell you that they had plenty of false starts before they found the right project that led to their success. So don’t be afraid to take a chance, that’s the only way you’re going to succeed! Trying new things or strategies can pay off, it’s just a matter of believing in yourself.

Make Amazing Mistakes

Everyone makes mistakes, right? When you do something wrong, take the opportunity to learn from it, and you’ll benefit in many ways. Keep a journal and write down what went wrong and how you learned. Remember this, if you’re not making mistakes you’re not trying hard enough.

Look Outside Yourself

Everyone faces the hazard of getting tunnel vision – becoming so engrossed in our own lives that we never look around and observe others. There’s a whole world out there, and it’s full of lessons and information just waiting for you to notice. When we learn from others, we grow and thrive.

Never Stop Learning

As we age, it’s common to think that we’re done learning about life and how the world works. But that’s just not true! There is always something new to learn, and that information could make a big difference in your life. And when you share new information with someone else, you’re helping make the world a better place.

The road of life isn’t always easy, and there’s no guarantee that everyone gets what they want, but as long as you remain open to the people and world around you, the experiences and knowledge you gain will outweigh the negative experiences.

For the past several months, we’ve been talking about the member websites, and how they’re going to be fantastic, and function as another revenue generating tool for every member.

We’re proud to announce that the member websites are now available to every member, and setting them up is so easy, a child could do it! Our goal was to make this resource something that everyone could use.

Here are a few vital links you’ll need to get started on your site:

• Learn about your member website here: https://members.club-asteria.com/. Remember that your login and password are the same ones as for your back office at the Site.

• We’ve created a short, insightful and informative instructional video, which walks you through setting up your site.  Click this link to view it.

• A PDF of instructions is also available at this link.

Remember that we want every member to take full advantage of this incredible resource, so if you have any questions or are having trouble, please contact us through the normal channels, and we’ll do our best to help you.

When your website is up and running, you’ll have a brand new tool to use for making more profit, and helping out your friends, community and the people that benefits via micro-loans and lending programs.

These websites are the first of many new resources we’ll be rolling out in the coming year, and we think they make an excellent starting point. It’s also important to note that before we make a product available to our members, there are many steps that have to be completed.

We realize that our process might hold up products and services everyone is waiting anxiously to try, but we’d rather back up a release date by a few weeks to make sure that what we’re giving you works the way it should.

In the coming weeks, be on the lookout for new announcements and news about these products and services, but in the meantime here are a few ideas for your website:

• Choose a name for your site that’s easy to type, and remember.

• Be patient! Plan out the pages on your website so they make the most sense.

• Remember your audience, that when potential clients will be visiting your site for the first time, it should be an enjoyable experience.

• Pictures and videos are great ways to create relationships with your customers. Don’t be shy!

• Share the website address with your friends, family and business contacts. Make it part of your email signature!
